A refined collection of table accessories exclusively designed for My Venice by Murano designer Paolo Donà. His original creations are characterized by reinterpretations of classic shapes, with particular reference to murrine glass and mosaic glasswork. The items are entirely handmade on the Venetian island of Murano.

Venice is renowned worldwide for its ancient tradition in glass and mirror production, with written records of this art dating back to before the year 1000.

An exclusive murrine glass tumbler for a My Venice style table setting.

The unique originality of the design is highlighted by a movable Murano glass ring element crafted around the stem. The imperfections present are a specific feature of the product and testify to its special artisanal craftsmanship. The art of Venetian murrine glass developed particularly from the 19th century onwards. Specifically, the term “murrine” or “a murrina” refers both to the process and the artistic composition of sections of colored glass rods assembled to form a pattern. The word originates from the Roman era murrha (or fluorite) vessels, which were highly valued for their variety and vividness of colors, inspiring Venetian glassmasters. Exquisite examples of artistic Venetian glasswork are housed in the most important glass museums worldwide.
